Recording a match

Six things. That is the whole app.

1. Put your starters on. Tap a player on the bench, then tap the position you want them in. Do that until the pitch is full — the big button counts for you.
2. Nothing happens until the big button. Tapping players around only plans the change. The big button records it, and its label always says what the next tap will do.
3. Start the clock at kickoff by tapping the time. Tap it again at half time — a pause is half time, there is nothing else to mark.
4. Substitutions are the same three taps. Bench player, position, big button. Whoever was in that position comes off.
5. Two clocks on every player. The dark one is this shift — how long since they went on. The faint one is their total for the match. The dark one decides who comes off next; the faint one is the fairness question.
6. Finish when it is over, and choose whether to keep the file.

Getting around. field and bench are always on screen — they are the match. ☰ more holds everything else: your roster, who turned up, position time, the formation, and how carefully substitutions are timed. Opening one of those puts the field away; tapping field brings it straight back.

If the big button refuses. It will tell you why — usually too many or too few on the pitch, or somebody left without a position by a formation change. START AGAIN throws away what you have planned and puts the pitch back as it is. Nothing you planned was ever recorded, so it costs you nothing.

Substitution timing is under ☰ more. Simple is one tap and is what most coaches want — minutes drift by about the length of a stoppage, which does not change who is being treated fairly. The whistle settings are slower and exact. The file records which you used, so nobody later mistakes one for the other.

Your match lives in this browser until you save it out. It survives closing the app. It does not survive clearing your browsing data. Save the file when the match ends.
